Do I need to refrigerate reconstituted River Valley Products
INDM?
Yes, refrigerate just like you would fresh milk.
Keep reconstituted milk in an air tight
container in the refrigerator for 5 to 6 days.
How do I make one glass of milk?
One 8oz glass of cold water and
1/3 cup of INDM.
How do I store INDM in dry form?
In a cool dry place, for additional protection store
bag in a sealed container or a
re-sealable plastic bag. Be sure to document the expiration date
from the package
label.
How do I make reconstituted milk taste more like whole
milk?
Double the amount of INDM the directions call for. Subtract
a little powder for a
skim milk taste.
How much milk does a 4 pound bag make?
A 4 pound bag will make 4.87
gallons and you will need 73 cups of water.
How much milk does a 25.6 oz bag make?
A 25.6 oz bag will make 2
gallons and you will need 30 cups of water.
Is there an expiration date for the powdered milk?
Each bag is
imprinted with a “use by” date.
Does the INDM come from cows?
INDM is cow's milk with the fat and water removed.
INDM does not contain any chemicals nor preservatives.
Can I use INDM in my baking and cooking recipes?
INDM can be
added to any recipe calling for milk. Simply add it to the dry
ingredients and add water for the milk called for in the recipe.
